Of course, having explained this, you can certainly see how an insulated cedar dog house will provide a better environment for your dog as well.  The insulation afforded by the house will keep heat in during the winter and out in the summer, making your dog more comfortable in the changing weather than would a standard plastic dog house.  Also, the cedar will be more weather resistant, keeping out moisture that can seep into the bones of your pet and cause pain and early arthritis.  As a more permanent structure and heavier, your dog won’t think it’s a toy, either, trying to chew it or drag it around the yard, despite any typical behavior.

While it may seem appropriate to simply choose the least expensive option in some settings, when it comes to your pet you should be willing to go the extra mile to make sure he is well cared for and that you have peace of mind.  An insulated cedar dog house is well worth the few extra dollars, both for savings in the future and your dog’s comfort for years to come.
